The Pursuit
"I want everyone to always understand the importance of pursuing something in life. When we are not pursuing something and going through the motions of life; we become extremely stagnant instead of living in our purpose. This is why PUSH YOUR PURSUIT is so powerful because no matter where you are, the more you keep pursuing, the further along you will get."
"Prefer to pay the prices today because it only gets more expensive as life continues"
Travis WallaceTravis Wallace's Journey: From Hardship to Triumph
Born in Marietta, GA, to a single mother with his father in prison, Travis Wallace faced life's harsh realities early. Yet, he found purpose on the basketball court. At the University of North Florida (2010-2014), Travis wasn't just playing a game; he was living his identity, becoming the third leading scorer in school history and an all-conference player before playing professionally in Slovakia and Finland.
But life threw a curveball when his basketball career ended, and Travis found himself working at Home Depot. This stark shift led to a period of depression and identity crisis. It was a time of introspection, realizing that his life’s path needed a new direction, different from the basketball stardom he had envisioned.
Determined to redefine himself, Travis enrolled in grad school at Virginia Commonwealth University. He emerged as a certified strength and conditioning coach, a graduate assistant, and later, with a master's degree in Sports Leadership. His relentless effort and connections from his basketball career led him to an internship with the University of Central Florida athletics, and eventually, to his dream role as a personal strength coach for NBA player Kyle Lowry.
Travis’ story is not just about the challenges of transitioning from sports to life beyond, but about rediscovering oneself and finding value in the journey. As a coach, Travis has worked with NBA stars like Kyle Lowry and emerging talents like Siddiq Bey and Adrian Griffin Jr.
Today, Travis’ coaching philosophy transcends the physical realms of the gym. It’s about discipline, valuing the growth process, and understanding the importance of self-investment and focus. His goal is to help individuals, from struggling teenagers to Fortune 500 companies, realize their potential and embrace the journey of continuous pursuit. Travis' life and career stand as a testament to the power of resilience and the never-ending pursuit of one's dreams.
